Fire at the Royersford VFW Fire destroyed the pavilion at the VFW on 4th Avenue in Royersford on Friday, April 11th. A number of calls were received with reports of smoke and flames. The smoke could be seen from at least as far away as Pottstown. Both fire companies from Royersford, along with Spring City and the Rescue Squad, were part of the initial response. Additional companies were called in from Trappe, Collegeville, Oaks, Mont Clare, Limerick, and Linfield. Perkiomen and Limerick fire companies provided units for standby at Humane's station.
